I bought a Dryer from the Good guys on Nov 3. Unfortunately when it arrived I realised I had accidently ordered a washing machine (Doh!). I messaged them right away and they sent me a form to fill out to get it picked up and get a refund (30 day return policy). I didn't even open it so all good there. I always shop at The Good Guys as Harvey and all he stands for can DIAF. But if you some fun, go to T Good Guys and mark down the price on an item you know HN has, go to HN and quote the price from The Good Guys and watch the expression change on the sales person. Always golden.
Yes, I think the Good Guys are now owned by JB-Hifi. Going from memory JB acquired GG roughly 5 years ago. I don't remember GG's former structure, I think it was some sort of partnership arrangement opposed to a franchise. However it worked, an acquaintance was far from happy with the way he was bought out.
The Good guys Commercial is good for pricing, but they don't have any where near the same range. They're a separate division of the company as well, the stores themselves aren't always that friendly when you go in to pick up your goods as they're missing out on their sales and mark ups.
Now despite having proof and willing to provide it to them the good guys are refusing to have the parcel redelivered and claim because it's company policy and I missed the delivery I have to pick up the parcel from some address miles away, I Don't need the item urgently and I don't drive so I refuse to spend time and money to pick it up.
May 23, 2023 · Last week I ordered a $220 item from the Good Guys website and paid using Afterpay. After waiting for the delivery date to come and go I contacted them by phone only to be told the store in question hadn't shipped the item and they don't know why.
So we got a new fridge this week. Very excited as the old one was rusty and small. We measured the space before buying and went to The Good Guys and got a deal for a brand new fridge and washing machine for an even 2 grand. They showed up to my 2nd story town house yesterday, took one looks at the stair case and declared it wouldn't fit.
Three days ago I purchased an automatic coffee machine from The Good Guys in Belconnen, Canberra. The machine was a Delonghi PrimaDonna XS. No amount of tweeking of menu options, or pre-brew shots of steam or hot water to warm the tubing, resulted in the milk being near a reasonable temperature (I want milk based coffee not espresso).
The Good Guys uses Air Tasker as their work dispatching system, but it's branded as The Good Guys Home Services. Must be some sort of Software as a Service enterprise offering from Air Tasker. I don't think it's a random guy because the sales rep knows exactly how much things are going to cost including the extras and the waiting time.
