It's certainly very pretty but I've heard that Ross is kind of a tricky company and when the history of the bike isn't known, it's not clear if this particular one is very good. I'd mainly use it for commuting, about 4.5 miles each way, and occasional longer rides on trails near my city.

1996 Ross Mt. Rushmore - worth rebuilding? Saw it on FB market place for $20, from its original owner. I’ve been wanting to take on a project that isn’t my everyday bike. Kinda funky looking bike coming in at almost 35lbs. All original components with little-to-no rust on the frame. Just a bent front wheel and rusted out chain.
Jun 14, 2024 · Ross was the 4th largest manufacturer of bikes in the USA, until the 1990's. Despite all 4 large US bike manufacturers going bankrupt in the 90's, this is still a simple bike to maintain, as all the components used then, are still used now, by whomever makes our new bikes, in China.
