Mar 7, 2023 · Rocky III was shot on 35mm film using Panaflex cameras and for this release has been newly remastered in 4K from which this UHD is sourced. The disc presents a native 3840 x 2160p resolution image, in the widescreen 1.85:1 aspect ratio, use 10-bit video depth, High Dynamic Range (HDR), a Wide Colour Gamut (WCG) and is encoded using the HEVC (H.265) codec for Dolby Vison and HRD10.

Nov 1, 2005 · In Rocky III Stallone was getting psychic as Clubber Laing could have been written with Mike Tyson in mind. In Rocky IV Stallone highlighted the problems of drugs in sport (oh and did his bit to bring an end to the Cold War as well ) and in Rocky V he showed the problems with parasitic managers such as Don King with the character of George Washington Duke.

I actually think III is my favourite, it’s still got a tiny bit of the raw nature of I and II, but adds a bit of gloss, has a brilliant new opponent in Clubber Lang, a genius charity match that is anything but charitable, two amazing main fights, a legendary training montage and of course Mickey.
Nov 1, 2005 · The music, dialogue and effects have a lot more richness to them than in Rocky. Rocky III previously had a DD5.1 (448kbps) soundtrack and again, maintains this but now has a DTS5.1 (768kbps) option as well. Here the added bitrate of the DTS soundtrack pays dividends giving the sound a crisper, sharper edge to it.
Feb 22, 2005 · Rocky II has all of its audio tracks at the wrong pitch. Rocky III has all of the foreign language audio tracks at the wrong pitch. One shot in the theatrical cut of Rocky IV apparently opens up to 1.78:1 instead of 1.85:1 (the shot appears at about 10:17 into the film).
