  1. I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn and I'm constantly having issues with the puddle lights affecting the electronics because it builds moisture. I bought the vehicle when it was a year old and it already had mold growing in the puddle light, I went on to replace it twice more because the first time the moisture killed the LED lights and now after awhile it started happening again.

  2. Jan 10, 2022 · Ram owner x2 here - was weary buying my 2019 Ram because it was an FCA product and my Jeep before it was full of problems. Had the 2019 Rebel for 3 years and outside of routine maintenance and some recalls, it was only in the shop twice with issues - one was a minor warranty HVAC issue and one was a suspension linkage that I think I broke off-roading.

  3. I've owned many, jeeps , 300c , 3mini vans and now a 2020 Laramie. Jeeps are horrible in terms of reliability, they bought back my 300 under the lemon law, 2 vans were ok, 3rd , not so much, my Ram has had both manifolds replaced, sat at the dealership for 2 weeks waiting for parts to replace a defective ignition switch, and the rear window leaked causing the batteries for the etorque system ...

  5. Ram's styling between Gen 2 and Gen 4 was remarkable and unique. The 5th Gen was a big step backward on exterior styling, IMO. Ram's powertrains are fantastic, even the basic ones. The 4th- and 5th-Gen Ram rides, handles, and controls itself and loads better than any other 1/2-ton thanks to the 5-link in the rear.

  6. Good question, look up the reliability reports of all trucks. Ram is killing it. The redesign in 2019 realy re ignited the brand. Technically they branched off and ate their own entity with American engineers and designers. I think their price will adjust in the next few years as people see the data. This is coming from a life long Chevy, Gmc guy.

  9. All brands in the truck market have their issues. it also has a lot to do with how the trucks are used, an F-150 might have a weak point that is shown when pulling a boat around all day while a Ram 1500 might have a weak point that shows up when spending all day driving through cow pastures. in the end if you are using your truck like 80% of the people that buy them, mostly blacktop driving ...

  10. Jan 30, 2023 · A few other key tech upgrades that impacted my decision are: The technology package with Head up display and rearview camera mirror were introduced in 2021, the touch and feel of the 12” screen in the 2022 is a lot more intuitive and noticeable and you can split the screen in 4 as opposed to 2.
