Canada Computers took over the old NCIX location on broadway and is still setting up shop. Mike's Computer is fairly nearby (Kingsway and Fraser). I visited both in the last week. Mike's has a smaller / mom & pop shop feel, had some great deals (only 8700's I found in stock and for $370).
Aug 11, 2017 · The only reason I've used ncix in the past is because their distribution center is within driving distance so I don't pay shipping. But for the system I just bought, the difference in price between Newegg + shipping was still lower than NCIX without shipping costs. NCIX really needs to get their shit together, honestly.
May 7, 2014 · I've never ordered a PC from NCIX, but I've placed various orders over the course of time. I had some issues the first few times I ordered from them 3 - 4 years ago. Things being out of stock, a return not being processed timely, and slow shipping. I just placed an order with them for a PSU, CLC, fans, and some other misc. parts.
May 10, 2015 · NCIX does have random sales that PCPPer might cache and not update until later. Picked up 2 pairs of nice headphones for over $100 cheaper than what Amazon ever had based on camelcamelcamel. Best part is Google search didn't show NCIX as a result and they didn't post the sale on the main site, so they didn't run out of stock instantly.
NCIX process the payment before handing back a refund. This took almost 10 days. When it finally came back, I got charged the $15 "foreign transfer" that my bank charges because they processed both orders fully before refunding the initial charge.

The most likely scenario was that NCIX ran into problems previously and petitioned the shareholders for a loan to hold off bankruptcy. If you're looking for the shady shit...You should look at the credit cards, because 300k on a CC seems really fucking weird.
Sep 26, 2014 · NCIX is a much better option. It's only $50 for them to assemble your computer and you get a one year warranty with it in case of any installation errors. They might make a mistake every once in a while as well, but with their warranty you won't have to pay extra to get it fixed. 2. Reply.
