Dec 26, 2013 · ABS-CBNnews.com reports that 81-year-old former Quezon City Mayor Ismael "Mel" Mathay suffered of a heart attack on Wednesday, December 25 and was brought to The Medical City, where he died at around 9 a.m. that day. Mathay had served as QC mayor from 1992 to 2001.
