I am using 1337x.to (is this the wrong url?), and when I try to click magnet (or torrent in fact), I get a pop-up trying to get me to install a VPN. I'm already using a VPN of course, and I can't get past this pop-up!
There is a posting bot in 1337x chat room, which posts all the links to the chatroom about the torrents that are been uploaded to the site in real time. 2 weeks ago the bot suddenly stopped posting, and the admins decided to fix that.

I use only qbittorrent for both search and download. just add all the public torrent addons like 1337x, TPB, torrentgalaxy and other. private torrent site addons can be added also, sort out the search as per seeders and you are good to go.

The likelihood of its downloads being malicious is quite high. The correct URL is actually https://1337x.to, and NOT 1377x.to. I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.

I understand that not everybody is a pirate because they want free stuff, some are because of ideological beliefs regarding the internet and data preservation. 1337x is important as a result, and I guess some prefer donating for that cause instead of paying to a company.
