There is an utter lack of morality in “A Boy and His Dog,” whose very title is a perverse twist on “Lassie” and “Old Yeller”-type films. This might be a tough sell for some audiences, who are trained to empathize with and relate to the protagonists of any given movie— even a dystopia.
