ASOPOS (Asopus) The god of the river Asopos of Argos (southern Greece) and/or Boiotia (central Greece). According to some, he was a son of Poseidon and the Nymphe Pero or Kelousa (but most accounts say he was born to Okeanos and Tethys like the rest of the river-gods).
