Tokyo Disneyland (東京ディズニーランド, Tōkyō Dizunīrando) (local nickname TDL) is a 115-acre (47 ha) theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, near Tokyo. Its main gate is directly adjacent to both Maihama Station and Tokyo Disneyland Station.It was the first Disney park to be built outside the United States and it opened on April 15, 1983.
Tokyo Disneyland is 17km east of central Tokyo, in Urayasu City in Chiba prefecture. It is very easy to travel there from central Tokyo. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes in total from JR Tokyo Station. You can use a Japan Rail Pass for this journey.
Tokyo Disney Resort can be accessed by a free 15-minute shuttle-bus ride from the hotel. The property is 40-minutes by bus from Haneda International Airport, and 60-minutes by bus from Narita International Airport. Maihama Station is a 4-minute train ride away, and JR Tokyo Station is about 17-minutes by rapid-service train.
