Once Topaz captures Connie, Aquamarine tells her not to bother with Steven since he is not "My Dad". Aquamarine then summons her wand, paralyzes Steven, and launches him toward a tree. Aquamarine and Topaz leave the scene to hunt down their last human, leaving Steven unconscious.

Aquamarine, also known by herself as The Best, is a major antagonist of the Steven Universe franchise, in the series, appearing as the main antagonist of the second half of Season 4 and the first episode of Season 5, as well as a major antagonist in Steven Universe Future.
Aquamarine is the overall main antagonist of Steven Universe. She is a Homeworld Gem who made her debut in "Are You My Dad?". She was sent to Earth with two fused Topazes to retrieve human "variations" for Yellow Diamond.
Aquamarine is the smallest gem to date; being only HALF the size as Steven. She wears a dark blue dress with wrist-length white gloves, and a cyan bowl-like haircut-- sort of akin to Victorian clothing.
Mar 9, 2023 · The purpose of aquamarines. Theory. Considering that they are very similar to lapis lazuli yet the one we meet seems much more diplomatic/commanding in nature, I'd assume they are the informants for lapis lazulis (if that makes sense). Like the ones who give them orders and such.
