I think at this point Miko Livelo (director of Blue Bustamante) has pretty much established himself as a nostalgic creator beyond nostalgia. This new film is clear proof to that--loud, pompous, but genuinely endearing.
Oct 7, 2021 · Director Miko Livelo started his career as a motion graphics artist and directed his first film “Blue Bustamante” in 2013, which gained international recognition when it premiered at the Osaka Asian Film Festival in 2014. In 2019 he directed the friendship-comedy film “‘Tol,” and the fantasy-comedy adventure film, “Unlilife.”
