As Father Bernard Dooley, S.J., former President of Gonzaga College High School noted, the Purple Puck was “…both the first Gonzaga-sponsored hockey tournament and the first tournament for high school teams in the Washington, DC area.” The tournament has enjoyed 16 seasons and continues to grow in popularity and talent level.
