Manuel Acuña Roxas (Tagalog: [maˈnwel aˈkuɲa ˈɾɔhas]; January 1, 1892 – April 15, 1948) was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as the fifth president of the Philippines from 1946 until his death in 1948.

Manuel Acuña Roxas was the first president of the Republic of the Philippines, from 1946 to 1948. He was also the third and the last president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, from May to July 1946, after which the Philippines got its independence from the U.S. rule and turned into a republic.
In 1945, the Philippine Congress elected Manuel Roxas as Senate President. In the national elections one year later, Roxas ran for president as a nominee of the liberal wing of the Nacionalista Party.
