Apr 9, 2024 · The University of Santo Tomas, through the UST Research and Endowment Foundation Inc. (UST-REFI), formalized its partnership with the DivinaLaw Foundation Inc. to pave the way for scholarship grants for academic staff of the Faculty of Civil Law. This was formalized in a Memorandum of Agreement signed on April 8, 2024 at the Rector’s Hall.

Towards the end of the 17th century, when new buildings had been constructed and able men with Doctorate in Canon Law had come to join the professorial staff, the University obtained the Brief Inscrutabili from Innocent XI, dated August 7, 1681 whereby this Faculty and those of Civil Law and Medicine were erected.
