Nov 2, 2021 · Those kind of brackets are normaly for professional radios, but the place of the connectors should change for better easy deinstalling. But when is there a further development of the FTM-400 or for example a better multiplatform software for updating the firmware for any Yaesu equipment without a Windows-System?

Aug 19, 2017 · K6BRN Premium Subscriber QRZ Page. Very good review, excellent radio for HF/VHF/UHF - identical to the FT-991 except for a waterfall function that does not interrupt audio RX. A very easy to use "shack in the box". And in my opinion, very reliable - I have two - one on the West Cost and one at my East Coast QTH - neither has ever let me down.
The Yaesu FT-891 is a steal of a rig, for the price. You're getting the newest technology from Yaesu, packed into a footprint slightly smaller than their dwarf powerhouse, the FT-857. True, you're giving up VHF/UHF, but we're living in a time when capable Chinese radios are $25, and low-end Yaesu VHF/UHF HT's are approaching $100.

Yaesu needed a radio to compete with the Icom IC-7300 in that price range and the FT-710 fits the bill. I have had a few IC-7300 rigs bouncing around and trying other rigs and I really like the IC-7300 a lot. I am now running a Yaesu FTDX10 and love it.

Aug 19, 2017 · Yaesu marketing was brilliant, In the incipient phase of Fusion, Yaesu decided to allow clubs (initially) and later individuals to purchase the Fusion DR-1X system including a FT-1DR HT and FTM-400 mobile for $500 including shipping provided certain requirement were agreed to. Later only the repeaters were sold. They flew off the shelf!
