Blundell Park is a football ground in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, England and home to Grimsby Town Football Club. The stadium was built in 1899, but only one of the original stands remains. The current capacity of the ground is 9,052, after being made all-seater in summer 1995, reducing the number from around 27,000.
Blundell Park opened in 1899 as a replacement for Abbey Park, Grimsby Town’s previous stadium. They didn’t completely abandon their old home, however, taking with them all of Abbey Park’s fixtures and fittings, plus the Hazel Grove and Abbey Park Stands.

1939. Hazel Grove Stand at Cleethorpes End is replaced by new Osmond Stand at a cost of £4,500. 1940 to 1944. Due to the Second World War, Grimsby Town’s home games are switched to the Old Show Ground, Scunthorpe. 1953. The first set of floodlights are installed at Blundell Park.
