The Senate President Neptali A. Gonzales General Hospital is a government tertiary training and general hospital in the Philippines. It is located at Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong , Metropolitan Manila.
As Mayor of Mandaluyong, Hon. Gonzales pushed the envelope of local governance by initiating innovations in computerization, social infrastructures, and urban renewal. He especially pushed for the uplift of health care in the city by strengthening the city’s only public hospital and empowering all health centers for preventive health care.
Gonzales died of heart failure on September 16, 2001 at the Makati Medical Center. He was 78. His body lies in their family estate in Mandaluyong. Personal life. Gonzales was married to Candida Medina for more than fifty years and was the father of four children: Myrna, Aida, Rhodora and Neptali II. His family remains a major pillar of life.
