  3. Jean-Pierre Hébert (1939 – March 28, 2021) was an American artist of French origin. He specialized in algorithmic art, drawings, and mixed media. He co-founded the Algorists in 1995 with Roman Verostko.

From 1984 on, I dedicated myself to the exploration of algorithmic digital drawings. In 1995, I co-founded the Algorists. I coined the word and coded an algorithmic definition of it.
