Ghajini ( pronounced [ɡədʒniː]) is a 2008 Indian Hindi -language action thriller film directed and co-written by A. R. Murugadoss in his Hindi film debut. A remake of Christopher Nolan's Oscar-nominated work Memento (2000), starring Guy Pearce and Jennifer Connelly, this film stars Aamir Khan, Asin Thottumkal, Jiah Khan and Pradeep Rawat.
Synopsis. Sunita (Jiah Khan), a medical student, is investigating the amnesia case of Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan), the chairman of Air Voice, a telecommunications company. She does so against her professor Dr. Debkumar Mitra's (Anjum Rajabali) wishes, in spite of Sanjay being under criminal investigation.
Ghajini follows the story of a businessman who develops anterograde amnesia following a violent encounter in which his love interest, a model named Kalpana, was killed. He tries to avenge the killing with the aid of photographs from a Polaroid Instant camera and permanent tattoos on his body.
