On April 1, 2015, the Department of Education (DepEd) circulated the DepEd Order 8 or the Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program. This order conforms with the enactment of the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 (Republic Act No. 190533).
Classroom Assessment is an ongoing process of identifying, gathering, organizing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information about what learners know and can do. Teachers should employ classroom assessment methods that are consistent with curriculum standards.
