Fratta Polesine is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rovigo in the Italian region Veneto, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) southwest of Venice and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) southwest of Rovigo.
Inhabited since ancient times, Fratta Polesina is best known for the sixteenth-century Villa Badoer, known as La Badoera, designed by Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Built on a plinth and enhanced by a scenic staircase, it has the appearance of an ancient temple surrounded by terraces.
