An aunt of mine, Tita Estela Montinola, who lived in Jaro and was a historian herself once pointed out the site of Jaena’s birthplace at 7 Fajardo Street, just two blocks from the Jaro Cathedral. Jaena’s parents were Placido Lopez and Maria Jacobo Jaena.
