Resident Evil: Retribution is a 2012 action horror film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. A sequel to Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010), it is the fifth installment in the Resident Evil film series, loosely based on the video game franchise of the same name.
The Executioner makes his appearance in Chapter 1–1, where he destroys a gate separating Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar from the rest of the square. Other Executioners appear in "Desperate Escape", which re-cycled Majini like the Instigator.
