The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (Chinese: 中正紀念堂; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Tiong-chèng-kí-liām-tn̂g) is a national monument and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China.

Introduction. Historical Course of Change and Development. In 1975, after the passing of President Chiang Kai-shek, the Executive Yuan established a preparatory team to promote construction of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, which was completed in 1980.
This memorial hall was built in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, the first president of the Republic of China. Work on the hall began in 1976, a year after President Chiang passed away.
The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is 70 meters in height, and features white walls and blue tiles. Located in the center of the Memorial Park, it looks majestic regardless of the angle from which it is viewed.
