Westminster Under School was created as a prep school distinct from Westminster School in 1943. Initially based in Dean’s Yard, for 30 years it was then next to Victoria Station, before moving to its current home on Vincent Square in 1981.

In 1943 the School expanded its educational scope by forming Westminster Under School, educating boys from the age of 7. Initially both sections of the School shared a site, until 1951 when the Under School secured its own premises.
