The Anne & Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (Hebrew: האקדמיה העברית ע״ש טננבאום), also known as CHAT and TanenbaumCHAT, is a private Jewish high school in Toronto, Ontario, established in 1960. As of 2012, it was the largest private high school in Canada.
TanenbaumCHAT has been a cornerstone of Jewish life in Toronto for over 60 years. As the only community Jewish high school in the GTA, it has had an unparalleled impact and fulfills a unique role.
Students entering the New Stream program are not required to write the Hebrew test. We use the test to help us determine class placement and abilities. We must be in receipt of a completed application (Admissions Checklist) prior to writing placement tests.
