Claro Mayo Recto (born Feb. 8, 1890, Tiaong, Phil.—died Oct. 2, 1960, Rome, Italy) was a statesman and leader of the “Filipino-first” movement that attacked U.S. “neo-colonialism” in the Philippines. Recto graduated with a law degree from the University of Santo Tomás in 1913.
