Joe Young (July 4, 1889 – April 21, 1939) was an American lyricist, born in New York. In 1911, he began his career as a singer and song-plugger for various music publishers. During World War I, he entertained U.S. troops and sang across Europe.
Joe Young is a composer, lyricist, & librettist as well as singer/songwriter, screenwriter, and photographer. He is earning a BFA from Carnegie Mellon Univeristy in Composition with additional minors in Drama and Film and is proud to call himself a born and raised Oregonian.
