To define, establish and maintain a ‘golden thread,’ the behavioral expectations have to be defined, clearly (and repeatedly) communicated throughout the organization, and consistently instilled and upheld in all elements of the talent ecosystem.
It defines the “golden thread” – measuring each department’s contribution, up and down the organization, and across all dimensions. With a properly constructed scorecard in place, everyone in the organization is headed in the same direction.
The ‘Golden Thread’ is a metaphor for the decisions, data / analytical processes, technology, and human behavior that link strategy and results. Each bend, twist and cut of the thread reduces the quality of the gold delivered at the end of the process.
