Shunsuke Kikuchi (菊池 俊輔, Kikuchi Shunsuke, 1 November 1931 – 24 April 2021) was a Japanese composer who was active from the early 1960s until 2017. He specialized in incidental music for media such as television and film.
Shunsuke Kikuchi started his career in 1961 and since then he produced music for countless TV shows and movies, encompassing franchises like Doraemon, Kamen Rider, Grendizer, Tiger Mask, Gamera, Dr. Slump, and of course Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. One of his songs was even used in Kill Bill!
Kikuchi Shunsuke was a prolific Japanese composer who specialized in incidental music for media such as television and film. Active since the early '60s, he was one of Japan's most highly demanded film and TV composers, working principally on tokusatsu and anime productions for children, as well as violent action films, jidaigeki, and dorama.
