It serves the Coachella Valley of Riverside County. The college is federally recognized as a Hispanic-serving institution (HSI), receiving Title V grants.

    To be considered for admission as a special part-time or full-time student, the student must meet the eligibility standards established in Education Code 48800 and 76000-76004. Special part-time and full-time students are given low enrollment priority.
