She is a critically acclaimed and award-winning actor, writer and director, and the recipient of the Rainbow Award from the L.A. Women’s Theatre Festival for her decades of work in forgotten communities, including artists with disabilities, institutionalized teens and incarcerated women.
TEACHING. Debra as a Director. Debra has guided the writing, directed and filmed over 700 original One-Person Shows at USC, AADA, and professionally. Several of her plays have gone onto New York, the U.K. and Europe. Received a three year California Arts Council Grant to teach acting and playwriting at a medium security prison.
