Mar 10, 2021 · The San Diego Unified School board is set to vote on a recommendation to change the school name and mascot to address student concerns about racial injustice and historical oppression of Native Americans. The current team name, the Conquistadors, would be changed to Rattlers and the school colors to red and black.
