Peter Allen (born 18 February 1952) is a Canadian composer, organist, and keyboard player. An associate of the Canadian Music Centre and a member of the Canadian League of Composers, his compositions encompass a broad repertoire from film scores and commercial jingles to sacred music and avant-garde electroacoustic music.
Before establishing himself as a composer of music for film and television, Peter was, and still is, an active member of the Canadian League of Composers and the Canadian Music Centre, and has been commissioned to write numerous pieces which were often recorded and broadcast by the CBC.
Peter Allen is a Canadian born composer with a prolific career in film scoring beginning in the 1990's. Earlier compositions were for various contemporary music concerts and were regularly recorded by the CBC and broadcast on "Two New Hours", a CBC Radio production from Toronto.
