Beijing Film Studio was founded in 1950 as the one of the oldest studios in the People's Republic of China. From 1956 to 1959, the studio made 50 films, including Song of Youth and New Year Sacrifce. On the 1970's, it produced its film What a Family and a 1975 film called Hai Xia.
