D.Gray-man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Katsura Hoshino. Set in an alternate 19th century, it tells the story of a young Allen Walker, who joins an organization of exorcists named the Black Order.
After managing to recover, Allen reaffirms his identity as Allen Walker, and warns the Earl and the 14th not to take out their brotherly fights on other people. Soon, Wisely uses his ability to draw Allen, Kanda, and Road into Alma's memories. There, Allen sees a young Alma, who seems to be talking to him.
Nea's presence in Allen's mind has given Allen several key powers, the most prominent one being Allen's ability to control the original Noah's Ark as well as creating gates in and out of Ark from will and destroy them too.
Allen is the main hero of the series. He was abandoned by his biological parents because of the supposed "deformity" of his left arm (which was later revealed to be caused by his Innocence). He was eventually found and adopted by a traveling performer named Mana Walker on Christmas Day.
