Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground. Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions. The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards.

I'd love to see their homebrew archetype takes on that class, since I don't think they have the license for anything beyond College of Lore, and that archetype would be super problematic to implement since it could potentially result in a pop-up for literally every enemy attack (and possibly conflicting with spells ...

Aug 16, 2023 · Yes, Iceland Dale was a great game. Much more tactical combat focused than the Baldur's Gate games. The recent Solasta: Crown of the Magister reminds me a bit of Iceland Dale in that regard (i.e. more combat-focused than story-focused) and is also based on D&D 5E rules like BG3, though it doesn't have a license so it's just the core rules.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Tyranny, Pillars 1/2, Baldur's Gate 2 (only) and NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer are all classics for a reason.

Skald: Against the Black Priory is a recent old-school CRPG that's definitely worth a look if you haven't and are hankering for something to play.
