I don't mind people who will guess at an answer, as long as they identify it as a guess. Someone who knows their stuff will go 'I'm not sure, but based on circumstances i think it might be X'. Sometimes to boost their self esteem, sometimes for social and economic benefits, and sometimes by virtue of a lack of training. Oct 16, 2023 · Let's say you're trying to write a story that isn't intellectual, but pseudo-intellectual. Not deep, but pseudo-deep. Not intellectual, but...you get the idea. The type of story that looks and feels like it has depth...but really is actually shallow and style over substance. Pretentious. "Tackles" the "important topics". "Life-changing."
