Apr 13, 2021 · Does anyone know where to watch the films of Theo Angelopoulos? Off-Topic. The only place I’ve been able to find any of his stuff is Eternity and a Day at my local library. That’s probably what I’ll start with, but I’m dying to get into his work.

Theo is the most important and most artistically renowned Greek director who stands out for his stirring poetry, the sensorial completion of his films, his visual takes, the existential depth of his films, the combination of theater, cinema and many other forms of art and of course his personal eyeful of history.

I've seen Reconstruction, The Traveling Players, Voyage to Cythera, Landscape in the Mist, Suspended Step of the Stork, Ulysses' Gaze and Eternity and a Day in 35, but his other six features from the three Artificial Eye DVD box sets.
Feb 21, 2023 · Theo Angelopoulos is my No. 1 favorite director, and Landscape in the Mist is my No. 1 favorite film of all time! I have watched all of his feature films and didn't dislike any. He had quite a consistent filmography. However, his early works are more avant-garde and themetically obscure while his later works are more accessible.

Mar 1, 2023 · Huge Theo Angelopoulos fan here. 'Landscape in the Mist' is my No.1 favorite film of all time and it's also his easiest movie to watch in my opinion. All of his films comprise of slow long takes with abstruse narrative and lots of symbolism. If you're not into this type of film, it's difficult for you to enjoy his works.

Aug 9, 2020 · I couldn’t find a way to watch Theo Angelopoulos’ films and I’m wondering if you guys know where to watch them. Unfortunately, Greek films are not on easteuropeanfilms nor on Criterion and in my country, I didn’t find available dvd copies and buying one from abroad would cost me a lot.

There are, probably, two reasons for that:
Jun 22, 2024 · Does anyone have a complete list of Theo Angelopoulos titles with English subs released on blu ray or dvd? I already own a French release of The Dust of Time (a rare French release with English subs) and the UK Artificial Eye dvd of The Weeping Meadow. Artificial Eye also put out two (?) volumes of the TP Collection, long OOP and very expensive.
