Aug 10, 2008 · Magnum Research Lone Eagle. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these pistols. Alot of online articles compare them to the contender style pistols. My local gun shop has one for sale in 7mm 08 with a bushnell scope and muzzle brake for $389.00 used in good shape.

I use mild loads in my trapdoor carbine and heavy loads in my Marlin 1895 XLR and Hornady 325 gr ammo. I find it difficult to comfortably shoot 20 rounds through my Marlin.

I put one on mine this weekend and like it very much. When you shoulder the stock it lines up perfectly if you have a scope on your rifle. Light weight and free floats the barrel.
Apr 27, 2013 · I put 100 round through the Magnum Research Ruger 10/22 WMR yesterday (expensive!) and it worked well. I'm not an experienced, or particularly good rifle shot. But I sighted it in at 100 yards and I got around 2" 10 shot groups about 1 1/2" or so lower than at 25 and 50 yards).
Dec 27, 2016 · As to your original question of Ruger 10/22 Magnum vs Volquartsen or Magnum Research - RUGER only made the 10/22 in a .22Mag configuration from 1998 to 2006 so any of those you buy are already 10 years old. In addition the current purchase price is anywhere from $1000 to $2000 depending on condition.
Mar 13, 2015 · Trigg. The CZ512 is a fine 22mag semi-auto rifle, albeit pretty strange looking. Another very good option is the Magnum Research Magnum lite 22 wmr. Basically a hopped up Ruger 10-22. Many good thoughts, thanks all. Trigg and myself are thinking the same way here.
