Apr 8, 2021 · The meaning of the rich man and Lazarus is a warning to those that aren’t paying any attention to the needs of others. That attitude has no place in God's kingdom. This parable is both a jab at the religious leaders and hope for those oppressed.
In striking contrast to the life of the rich man, the Master, with a few touches, paints the life of the beggar Lazarus. This giving a name to a personage in the parable occurs nowhere else in the evangelists' reports of our Lord's parabolic teaching.
