    Ran Ding received his Ph.D. in EE from the University of Washington (UW), Seattle in 2014. With support from Intel, his Ph.D. research contributed to the creation of an open-access foundry platform OpSIS Nature article, which made silicon photonics technology accessible to more than 150 research and industry institutions.

  3. Yan Ran Ding (Member, IEEE) was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, in February 1994. She received the B.S. degree from the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanjing, in 2016. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China.
