Treasure Planet is one of Disney's most emotional movies by far. But beyond that, it's one of their most visually psychedelic and inventive ones too. Blends CGI and traditional 2D animation in a way that's just flat-out magical. It also features a great orchestral soundtrack by James Newton Howard.

Treasure Planet received a Continuation in 2002 in the form of a video game called Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon, which is a real-time strategy, naval combat game. Nov 5, 2002 · Instead of opting for a movie called "Treasure Island," Disney made the ridiculous mistake of making this pile of gimmicky garbage called "Treasure Planet." Personally, I blame this movie for destroying 2-d animated movies in the early 2000s, and I was really disappointed by Ron Clements and John Musker here, considering they've created the masterpieces "Aladdin" and "The Little Mermaid."
