Noah (/ ˈ n oʊ. ə /) appears as the last of the Antediluvian patriarchs in the traditions of Abrahamic religions. His story appears in the Hebrew Bible (Book of Genesis, chapters 5–9), the Quran and Baha'i writings. Noah is referenced in various other books of the Bible, including the New Testament, and in associated deuterocanonical books.
The Story of Noah. 9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. 10 Noah was the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Plot. As a child, Noah sees his father, Lamech, killed by king Tubal-cain for his land. As an adult, Noah lives with his wife, Naameh, and their sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. He dreams of a great flood, so he takes his family to consult his grandfather, Methuselah .

Noah is first mentioned in Genesis 5:28, 29 as a son of Lamech and the last of the ten antediluvian patriarchs listed in Genesis. In Genesis 6-9 Noah is the hero of the Flood or deluge in which only he and his family survived. Noah was 500 years old when his first son was born.
