    Following Dr. Sutton's departure, Dr. Gary Strangman took the lead role in the group. Since then, the NSG has added diffuse optical imaging (also known as near-infrared spectroscopy and/or imaging) to its brain imaging toolbox, and continues to address research questions in both basic and applied neuroscience, as well as computational approaches to data analysis and discovery.
